MAX-X DR FLUORO
DIGITAL R/F TILTING SYSTEM

FIELD OF USE

Max-X DR Fluoro is a high-performance, microprocessor controlled, digital R/F X-ray system. The patient table with its +90/-15° tilting range, 4-way motorized table top movement, built-in 12” image intensifier and high resolution digital CCD camera provides ideal examination conditions for almost all standard R/F protocols. Its front-loading, motorized spot film cassette system with the wide range of in-line and cross divisions makes it one of the most universal devices in the market, suitable not only for analogue film and CR cassettes but for digital flat panel detector exposures as well.

Thanks to the integrated high frequency X-ray generator and digital image processing, it is a real universal, reliable and easy-to-use workstation, connected to the hospital PACS as a standard DICOM modality.

SYSTEM COMPONENTS

Tilting table

The central element of the Max-X DR Fluoro system is the universal and easy-to-use motorized tilting table. The wide range of configurations and options make the system flexible and suitable for all kinds of R/F studies with the maximum efficiency and ease. Thanks to the compact footprint and light-weight design it can be installed in very small facilities as well.

The 2-way or 4-way table top movement and the +90/-15° table tilting are motorized, controlled by joysticks, and equipped with pre-programmable automatic collision protection. The wide range of optional accessories (footboard, side handrail, head rest, head holder, mattress, compression strap, side cassette slot, etc) make it conventional to use.

The design of the system has been especially focused on the Spot Film Device (SFD). This fully microprocessor controlled, power assisted system with the wide range of in-line and cross divisions makes it one of the most universal devices in the market, suitable for analogue film, CR cassettes and digital FPD exposures as well. Accurate and fast cassette positioning assures fast switching between fluoro and exposure modes. The rapid sequence allows to perform dynamic studies with high frame rate. The motorized compressor is automatically moved into the exposure area when a cross subdivision is selected.  The dual focal spot undertable tube moves synchronised to the movement of SFD. The fully automatic multi-leaf motorized collimator is provided with automatic SID compensation.

Thanks to the waterproof keyboard and the clear alphanumeric LCD, all major parameters of table operation, image intensifier control and generator settings are accessable from spot film device.

Digital image chain

The imaging system of the Max-X DR Fluoro system is based on the high resolution digital CCD camera, mounted on the image intensifier. The digital image processing, supported by a variety of real-time image enhancement techniques, provides crystal clear X-ray images both in fluoro and in digital image storage mode.

Of course the size of these images are limited by the input window of the image intensifier, so large-scale and high resolution X-ray images can only be taken on conventional film, CR cassette or digital flat panel detector, placed into the spot film device. In this latter case, the processing of RAD and fluoro images can be handled on the same touch screen control surface.

For life image presentation and diagnose the system has 1 or 2 pcs grayscale diagnostic LCD monitors on mobile trolley.

High-frequency X-ray generator and tube

In the Max-X DR Fluoro system, X-ray is provided by a modern, microprocessor controlled, high frequency X-ray generator and the connected rotating anode fine focus X-ray tube. The generator control is integrated to the touch screen control panel of the imaging system. Optimal image quality is guaranteed by the built-in ABS and AEC dose control. The supervisor program monitors the system status and any operator intervention all the time - thus effectively preventing any setting or events that could cause damage or overload to the system.

Integrated control console and operation

The operation of the Max-X DR Fluoro system is controlled from the integrated touch screen console located in the radiation protected control room, or from the radiological monitor cart placed in the examination room. The operator can handle patient administration, set the parameters of the X-ray generator and control image processing from here.

The Windows based software provides wide range of image-optimization and post-processing functions. Thanks to the ergonomically designed large icons, its usage is safe and error-free in a wide range of room lightings.
