Max-X DR Multi is a high-end, digital automatic radiographic system, ideal for busy multifunctional workplaces. The tube and the FP detector on the opposite side are placed on two independent ceiling rail telescope, so X-ray beam’s direction, position and focus-detector distance can be set freely. The height of the mobile patient table is adjustable, the carbon fiber table top is one-side suspended, and can be easily moved outside the examination area. This special design allows image acquisition of the full body with one single 43x43 cm FP detector, without moving the patient – either lying, standing or wheelchair patient is concerned. It can be operated either in manual, semi-automatic or automatic mode. High level techniques, easy handling and maximum positioning freedom were the main points during designing.
The touch screen operator console of the system functions as control surface of the HF generator as well, and is connected to the hospital PACS network as a standard DICOM modality.
The Max-X DR Multi system has two independent, ceiling mounted telescopes capable of moving synchronized. One holds the tube, other holds the FP detector. Both the tube and the detector can freely rotate around the vertical and the horizontal axis as well, allowing easy settings for special exposures such as angulation of radiant beam, position and focus-detector distance. Thanks to the precision balancing of the system elements, in manual mode the ceiling suspension can be adjusted to any position easily and quickly, in automatic mode the components adjust themselves to the position of the selected examination. In semi-automatic mode they keep the values of the projection and focus-detector distance set before. The motorized movements are „noise-free” and having collision avoidance features.
The part of the Max-X DR Multi system is the robust, mobile, elevating patient table with carbon fiber table top, suspended on one-side. The casters of the table allows you to easily roll the table out of the radiation area, this way a large space can be provided for examination of a standing, lying on a stretcher or a wheelchair patient. If necessary, it can be rolled back and fixed to the floor always in the same position, using two positioning pins. This special design ensures an extremely space-saving solution for the operation of the system.
The heart of the Max-X DR Multi system is the 43x43 cm high resolution amorphous-Silicon direct digital flat panel detector, capable of creating high quality fine X-ray images with very low patient dosage. Due to the special mechanical design of the system, image acquisition is cost-effective and possible in all exposure positions with a single large detector. The connection to the controller PC is Gigabit Ethernet. The image appears on the touch screen monitor within 6 sec after exposure.
For special examinations the system can be completed with a high resolution second detector.
In the Max-X DR Multi system, X-ray is provided by a modern, microprocessor controlled, high frequency X-ray generator and its associated rotating anode fine focus X-ray tube. The generator control is integrated to the common touch screen control panel of the system. Optimal image quality is guaranteed by the built-in AEC dose control. The supervisor program monitors the system status and any operator intervention all the time - thus effectively preventing any setting or events that could cause damage or overload to the system.
The Max-X DR Multi system is controlled from a large, integrated touch screen console. All functions are accessible here: waiting list handling, patient administration, study selection, generator control. It displays the preview image after exposure, and when the operator checked, it can be sent to the connected PACS for storage and processing (evaluation, printing, archiving etc). The built-in software performs automatic image optimization, but wide range of manual image post-processing functions are available as well. The ergonomic design and large icons ensure reliable control in any environment.
