Max-X DR Mobile is a digital mobile x-ray unit designed to perform radiologic examinations and diagnostic investigations both in the medical departments and in the ward. This innovative equipment is portable, easy-to-use, providing low patient dose, optimized image quality, and immediate availability of patient and exam data throughout network, thanks to full DICOM 3.0 compatibility (data transfer to PACS or to a DICOM printer). Built-in battery pack can supply the energy for both the motorized movement and X-ray exposures as well.
Max-X DR Mobile acquires the digital radiographic images by a battery powered portable flat panel detector, connected to the system with wireless data transmission. Thanks to the built in high-frequency generator and the image optimization software all images are sharp and crystal clear.
Max-X DR Mobile has been designed so to obtain a compact and lightweight device, extremely easy to move around. Thanks to the use of very light materials, and a proper study of weight distribution, together with large diameter back-wheels and swivel front-wheels, handling and transport are extremely easy, allowing the unit to overcome small obstacles with extreme simplicity. The limited overall dimension allows the operator to have good visibility during transportation and great mobility when passing through small and narrow spaces and elevators. High maneuvrability permits the unit to well operate also in intensive care units, well known for reduced space due to the encumbrance of vital devices that cannot be disconnected.
Max-X DR Mobile is equipped with an optional motorization system in order to further increase the outstanding maneuvrability in addition to a one-handed driving experience.
Max-X DR Mobile is characterized with a “dead man” breaking system with a comfortable handle that facilitates the unit movement and positioning. The breaking system blocks the unit in any position, just by releasing the handle bar. In case of motorized movement, a control joystick on the handle bar is used for regulating amplitude and direction of motorization speed. The unit can reach a maximum speed of 5 km/h. Handle bar is used to block/unblock the brakes.
The X-ray tube unit with the collimator is located on a precisely balanced rotating swivel arm. The 90 degree of lateral arm rotation to the left and right, grants additional freedom when positioning the unit during examinations. When not in use, the arm can be completely folded and fixed, with a safety lock, in its rest position, increasing operator visibility during transportation.
In the Max-X DR Mobile system, X-ray is provided by a modern, microprocessor controlled, high frequency X-ray generator and its associated rotating anode fine focus X-ray tube. The equipment can be ordered with various generators. The generator control is integrated to the touch screen control panel of the imaging system. The supervisor program monitors the system status and any operator intervention all the time - thus effectively preventing any setting or events that could overload or cause damage to the system.
Power is supplied by the standard 230V/16A single-phase electrical wall outlet, but an optional built-in battery energy storage package is also available, which allows to take more than 300 X-ray exposures without recharging.
The heart of the Max-X DR Mobile system is a highly reliable, high resolution, 35x43cm (optionally 43x43cm) image area, direct digital flat panel detector, capable of creating high quality X-ray images with very low patient dosage. The connection between the detector and the controller PC can be wired or Wi-Fi. The digital image appears on the touch screen monitor within some seconds after exposure.
The operation of the Max-X DR Mobile system is controlled from the large area 19” LCD high contrast touch screen console. From patient and exam selection, from the worklist to radiological parameter setting by means of a step-by-step procedure, to image acquisition and processing, up to exam transfer to PACS system, all function are controlled from this single integrated touch surface. Pre-programmed Anatomical Programs facilitate exam execution and increase system productivity. The touch screen control panel is characterized by intuitive and large buttons for post processing and DICOM integration, and can be used even when wearing protective gloves.
